Realtor® of the Year
The Association’s highest honor recognizes a member for his or her civic, business, and industry-related activities and achievements in the 12 months prior to the award’s presentation. Nominee must be a current and active member in good standing of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® and must have been a member from January 1st to December 31st of the nomination year. Past winners for the previous two years and the current Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® Board President will not be eligible for nomination.
Eligibility Criteria for REALTOR® of the Year
REALTOR® Spirit: High principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of Code of Ethics and local Board, and furtherance of principles of good real estate practice, among other brokers and the general public. (30%)
REALTOR® Accomplishments: Recognized for production and good business conduct, service to clients, education, and current, updated Professional Designations, etc. (Emphasis should be on current year, but go no further back than three years.) (25%)
Local Association Activity: Association leadership positions held, committee participation, special assignments. (emphasize current year but may include LEADERSHIP involvement for past three years.) (25%)
Civic Activity: Local, state, and national level participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal or religious groups, etc. (Only activities from the current year should be listed.) (15%)
State/National Association Activity: Offices held and committee work, attendance and participation in State Conventions, directors' educational conferences, etc. Please provide specific committees. (Only activities from the current year may be included.) (5%)
Rookie of the Year
This award recognizes a REALTOR® in his or her first two years in real estate. Last year’s Rookie of the Year will not be eligible for consideration for this award. Nominee must have entered the real estate profession no longer than two (2) years.
Eligibility Criteria for Rookie of the Year
Nominee must be a current and active member in good standing of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS®.
REALTOR® Spirit: High principles, faithfulness to law and regulations of the Code of Ethics and the bylaws of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS®.
Civic Activity: Present participation on a local, state and/or national level in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political groups, fraternal or religious groups, etc.
Business Accomplishments: Recognized good conduct and service to clients. Include sales production, number of listings and number of transactions here.
Local Association Activity: Offices held, committee work, educational work, interest and participation in board projects, attendance at board meetings, functions, and committee meetings.
Dartee Gayner Community Service Award
This is the Community Service award. Only community service-related activities performed by a REALTOR® shall be considered. Any activity related to real estate production will be disallowed. Winners of this award for the two previous years will not be eligible for application.
Areas of Community Service that will be considered are:
- Membership in organizations
- Offices held in organizations
- Committees on which nominee has served
- Volunteer work done once or on a continuing basis
- Any church and/or civic activities that better our community
Affiliate of the Year
This award recognizes the Affiliate member who has best supported the Association’s activities, projects, and members for the year. Last year’s Affiliate of the Year will not be eligible for consideration for this award.
Affiliate Extra Mile Award
This award recognizes the affiliate member who has gone the "Extra Mile" for a particular transaction, closing, or any other notable instance where the Affiliate made a remarkable impact. This award is open to all Affiliates. Last year’s Extra Mile Award winner will not be eligible for consideration for this award.
